Cricket records for India’s Twenty20 Internationals

A Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) is a type of cricket in which two international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) compete against one other for a maximum of twenty overs. The matches are of the highest T20 standard and have top-class classification. The game is played according to Twenty20 cricket rules. The first Twenty20 International match between two men’s teams was played on February 17, 2005, when Australia and New Zealand met. According to Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack, “neither side took the game particularly seriously,” while ESPNcricinfo stated that “the notion would have shuddered” if Ricky Ponting had not scored a significant total.

In the event the game becomes an international event, I’m certain the novelty won’t last forever,” Ponting said. The following is a list of India’s Twenty20 International records. It’s based on the List of Twenty20 International Records, however, it only includes records involving the Indian cricket team. In December 2006, India played South Africa in its inaugural Twenty20 match, and these records are from that match.

This is a list of Twenty20 men’s cricket records, which includes both team and individual performances (T20). Only top-level T20 games, such as those played in officially recognized tournaments in ICC Full-member countries or any Twenty20 International, are included in the records.

A win by runs occurs when both teams have completed both of their assigned innings and the team that fielded last has the higher total of runs. This is the number of runs they scored in excess of the opposition team. A win by wickets occurs when the side batting last wins the match, stating the number of wickets yet to fall.
